Closet Clutter
I have a dilemma. A week ago I decided that instead of paying more rent for a bigger bedroom space, bigger closet & private bath, it was necessary to retire my 2001 Toyota Corolla. Okay, so it did sound like a helicopter trying to take off… and unless I suddenly got a flying car, getting a new one was probably the way to go. Anyways, this was my first car purchase EVER so I was more than content with my decision (btw, I upgraded to a 2010 Corolla and it’s a beauty — photos to come soon).
A whole week later, and I was reminded why choosing between the two was so tough. I absolutely cannot stand clutter, but oddly enough, ever since I downgraded my living space area after graduating college, I feel like that’s all I live in. Talk about a stress booster. I usually keep it pretty under control, but recently it has taken over. I don’t know where to begin the dive so I need some major help.

Above is a picture of the 2 biggest problem areas. On the left, my jewlery. Thats not inlcuding the stuff stuffed in a plastic bin next to my bookase, or the necklaces hanging behind my door. Definitley need to come up with presentable storage for all my jewlery.
On the right… dun dun dun.. 1/4 of the closet (its about 6-7ish ft wide). This is the only part in the closet i have shelves. Top shelf.. whatever shoes I could fit (the rest are under my bed). Let me tell you, this is a nightmare when looking for a specific pair. Next 2 shelves are sweatshirts, and bottom is jeans. Its a shame because I literally cannot have all my clothes clean at one time, in which case I should have shown you the baskets full of clothes that need a home as well. Hopefully I can find someway to figure this out. If you don’t hear from me in a week about progress on this… the clutter ate me alive.
goal for the week: mission anti-clutter. And if you have any words for inspiration, tips, photos, anything… please share. I will need all the help I can get.
